AICPA - American Association of Certified Public Accountants
Founded in 1887, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the national professional organization of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the United States, with nearly 370,000 CPA members in 128 countries in business and industry, public practice, government, education, student affiliates and international associates. It sets ethical standards for the profession and U.S. auditing standards for audits of private companies, non-profit organizations, federal, state and local governments.
UACPA - Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants
The Utah Association of CPAs is a 501c(6) non-profit individual membership association for Certified Public Accountants. Our membership is comprised of approximately 3,200 CPAs and affiliate members, most of which live in Utah, and serve public accounting, business and management, government, and education. The UACPA provides a host of services including: continuing education classes, community education services, legislation and regulatory representation, and professional networking opportunities.
BDO Seidman Alliance
Jensen & Keddington is an independent alliance member of BDO Seidman, the sixth largest CPA firm in the United States and fifth largest CPA firm in the world. BDO Seidman (the national firm) is one of the leading accounting and consulting firms with 42 offices and more than 3,000 partners and staff throughout the United States. The BDO Seidman Alliance (to which we belong) has more than 200 other local and regional firms in more than 400 locations in the United States. Worldwide, BDO is the largest accounting, tax and consulting organization servicing middle market companies with about 1,095 locations in 110 countries.
As an alliance member of BDO Seidman, Jensen & Keddington has been able to expand our capabilities and the services we provide our clients. We have at our disposal a national and international network of resources. We are able to call upon the skills of tens of thousands of professionals and their resources throughout the world in most areas of specialization. This alliance allows us to provide the level of service our clients need and have come to expect. We also utilize this depth of national and international resources to ensure our clients are in touch with the latest financial and business issues which might affect their businesses.
AutoCPA Group Member
The AutoCPA Group is a nationwide association of 26 Certified Public Accounting firms, each of whom specializes in providing professional services to automobile dealerships. The Auto CPA Group is the first group of its kind formed voluntarily by CPA firms who wish to provide specialized industry consulting and quality service tailored to the needs of their dealer clients. AutoCPA Group members can provide their clients with a unique business perspective to dealership tax planning, accounting and auditing, and systems analysis.
Governmental Associations
In connection with our efforts to stay current with the governmental industry and regulations, we are a member of and regularly attend conferences presented by the GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association), UFGOA (Utah Government Finance Officers Association), UASD – Utah Association of Special Districts, and ULCT (Utah League of Cities and Towns). Our involvement with these organizations assists us in keeping our clients up to date on current and emerging issues.
