Jeffrey B. Jensen, C.P.A - Managing Partner Mr. Jensen received his accounting degree from the University of Utah in 1975. While attending the University of Utah, and prior to entering public accounting, Mr. Jensen was employed as a controller for a distributing company for three years. He then worked for three years with a Salt Lake City based certified public accounting firm performing duties primarily in the audit area. In 1979, Mr. Jensen formed Jensen & Keddington, P.C., and has seen the firm grow from a two-person office to its current size. Mr. Jensen has gained experience in accounting, auditing, and taxation and management services in automobile dealerships and related companies; retail and wholesale companies; professional sports franchises; lease and rental companies; financial institutions; employee benefit plans; estate and trust planning; and contractors. Mr. Jensen is a member of the AICPA and the UACPA. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the AutoCPA Group. He is also a member of the board for the Friends of the Clark Planetarium. He is an associate member of the Utah Auto Dealers Association. Mr. Jensen has served as chairman of the UACPA CPE Approval Committee.
Gary Keddington, C.P.A. - Audit Partner Mr. Keddington received his degree in Accounting from the University of Utah in 1983. Prior to joining Jensen & Keddington in January of 1985, Mr. Keddington worked for a Utah based regional certified public accounting firm. Mr. Keddington became a partner in the firm in January 1989. Mr. Keddington has had over 25 years of providing auditing and consulting services. Mr. Keddington's background and experience include the following commercial areas: finance, lease and management companies, audits of a television station, pension and retirement plans, state and chartered credit unions, banks, automobile dealerships, retail chains, entertainment companies, and other commercial enterprises. Mr. Keddington has experience with complex large international and multi-state consolidations. Mr. Keddington's background, experience, and education include the following governmental and non-profit areas: AICPA Certificate of Educational Achievement - Governmental Accounting and Auditing; audits of cities, school districts, special districts and nonprofit organizations; consulting services to governmental entities related to budgeting; accounting policies; internal controls and compliance with Federal and State regulations; single audits for federal awards and grants; Mr. Keddington is a member of the GFOA, UGFOA, AICPA, UACPA, and the UASD. Currently Mr. Keddington is the outside consulting Finance Director for Manti City, Gunnison City, and Moroni. He currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Bountiful Irrigation District. Mr. Keddington has attended continuing education related to Government Auditing including courses and conferences offered by the Utah State Auditor’s office, UGFOA, GFOA, and UACPA.
Brent Christensen, C.P.A. - Audit Partner Mr. Christensen graduated from the University of Utah in 1986 with a degree in Accounting and started in public accounting with KPMG, an international accounting firm. Mr. Christensen joined Jensen & Keddington in 1987 and became a partner in 1997. Mr. Christensen has had over 24 years of providing audits, reviews, consulting, and other attest engagements. Mr. Christensen's background and experience include the following commercial areas: construction contractors, lease companies, finance companies, broker-dealers, restaurants, theaters, office tower and complex, a daily rental entity, automobile dealerships, technology service entities, and other commercial enterprises. Mr. Christensen also provides attest services for inventory observations, multi-million dollar securitizations for asset backed securities, examinations of internal control, and other information services. Mr. Christensen's background, experience, and education include the following governmental and non-profit areas: AICPA Certificate of Educational Achievement - Governmental Accounting and Auditing; audits and other assurance services of cities, towns, school districts, special districts, nonprofit organizations, and the Utah State Office of Education; consulting services to governmental entities related to budgeting; accounting policies; internal controls and compliance with Federal and State regulations; and single audits for federal awards and grants. Mr. Christensen served as the Chairperson, during 2002 and 2003, of the UACPA State and Local Government Committee, as well as, serving as a committee person for over a decade. He has spoken at several seminars presented by the Utah State Office of Education regarding Federal and State regulations and internal controls. Mr. Christensen regularly attends continuing education classes regarding state and local government accounting and auditing. Mr. Christensen is a member of the AICPA, UACPA, GFOA, UGFOA, and UASD.
Jeffrey B. Hill, C.P.A. - Tax Partner Mr. Hill graduated from Brigham Young University in 1986 with a masters degree in Accounting. Prior to joining Jensen & Keddington, he spent five years in the tax department of Ernst & Young. While working with Ernst & Young, Mr. Hill gained experience in international, multi-state, corporate, consolidated corporate, estate and trust, partnership and individual taxation. His experience includes extensive research on many tax topics, including foreign tax expatriation programs. Mr. Hill joined Jensen & Keddington in 1990. He became a partner in the firm in 1998. Since joining Jensen & Keddington, he has coordinated major audits with the IRS and has continued to develop his tax expertise in many areas, including: consolidated corporations; multi-state corporations; s-corporations; partnerships; limited liability companies; tax research and planning; and automotive tax issues. Mr. Hill is a member of the AICPA and the UACPA.
Gregory B. White, C.P.A. - Tax Partner Mr. White graduated from the University of Utah where he received a masters degree in Accounting with an emphasis in taxation. He has over twelve years experience as a tax professional at both local and national firms. Mr. White joined Jensen & Keddington in 2002 as tax manager. Mr. White's background and education include consolidated corporations; multi-state corporations; s-corporations; partnerships; limited liability companies; individuals; tax research and planning; and automotive tax issues.
